2019 Crew Position - Full or Part Time

Lowlands Farm is a small produce and cut flower farm started in 2018 in beautiful Snohomish, Washington. We grow our products using sustainable and responsible growing practices.  We are a new but growing business and in the coming year we will be expanding into farmers’ markets, wholesale, and wedding florals in addition to our existing vegetable and flower CSA program.

We are looking for a hard-working, passionate, self-motivated, and positive team player to join our farm crew. Farm Crew members are the backbone of our farm operation and have the opportunity to be involved in most facets of the farm. From record keeping to transplanting to harvest, each job is important.  Depending on work schedule, crew members may choose to focus on flower or vegetable production.

This job is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow into a long-term leadership opportunity at a dynamic and diverse farm, or for those interested in learning what it takes to grow a farm business.

Hours & Schedule:

April/May - November/December possible year-round work for the right candidate
30 hours per week spring/fall; 40-45 hours per week in the summer
Crew members work 5 days per week; schedule may vary throughout the season, but always includes 2 days off in a row


$12 - $13 per hour, depending on experience
Food & flowers from the field, or a packed CSA box & bouquet.

Primary Duties May Include:

Field Work: amending soil, transplanting, weeding, trellising, irrigation installation, and clean up
Produce: harvesting, washing, packing orders, assembling CSA boxes
Flowers: harvesting, processing, packing orders, CSA bouquet assembly
Propagation Greenhouse: seeding, watering, venting
General: cleaning, maintenance, following and documenting farm procedures

Additional Duties as Assigned:

Vending at the Farmers’ Market
Driving deliveries
Other duties as assigned

*Crew members participate in the cultivation and harvest of both produce and cut flowers, but may have the opportunity to focus efforts based on interests*


Valid Driver's’ License
Able to repeatedly lift 40lbs and enjoys physical labor
Able to walk, stand, squat, and kneel for extended periods
Willing and able to work outside in all types of weather
Follows food safety protocols
Positive Attitude

Desired Skills:

At least 1 year previous experience on a produce or flower farm
Experience working in a leadership role
Customer service experience
Grit, patience, strong work ethic, positive attitude, self-directed, team player
